UCO BEGINS DEFENSE OF CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE WITH SWEEP OF TEXAS A&M AGGIES

The University of Central Oklahoma Hockey team opened their season with a pair of dominating victories over the Texas A&M Aggies winning Friday night 14-0 and Saturday night 10-0.

The Bronchos had ten different players score during the weekend including six freshmen chipping in their first college goals. Seven additional players added at least one assist to show the balance attack that will be relied upon during the season. Broncho’s netminders, Alex Henry and Jacob Wallstedt each recorded a shutout in their season debut.

“I’m excited about our team scoring balance and am looking forward to our league games this upcoming weekend to really be able to evaluate where we are in this early season”, said Head Coach, Craig McAlister.

The Bronchos won’t have to wait long to find out as Missouri State comes to Edmond to play UCO at 7:45pm on Thursday night and the University of Arkansas Razorbacks play at the Broncho Ice Barn on Friday and Saturday night at 7:30pm.
